Our stitching is uniform and consistent, even in areas reinforced with multiple reinforcement plys and webbing straps. Our machines have the power for sail corners, where sailing loads have tightened fabric weaves. Weaker machines often ‘shorten’ or change stitch shape in these challenging areas.

Additionally, our zig-zag machines are capable of multiple stitch patterns, i.e. standard zig-zag (2 point), 2 step (4 point), or 3 step (6 point) zig-zag. Therefore, the correct stitch is used for your specific application.

We also restitch, repair, or fabricate UV covers for sails, as well as convert sail Luffs.

CHCS uses tread from Heminway & Bartlett, the standard for the sailing industry. We use the proper size thread for each sail type and application, and employ the most modern adhesives developed specifically for sail making and repair.
